PHS students excel in academics and in extracurricular activities. PHS endeavors to prepare all students to compete intellectually and vocationally in an ever-changing global society. Pocomoke High School has been accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools.

1999 Blue Ribbon School of Excellence; Boys State Champions in Soccer in 2005, 2006, 2007 and 2008; Boys State Champions in Basketball in 2002 and 2016; State Champions in Girls' Field Hockey in 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010 and 2015; State Champions in Girls' Softball in 2009; 1998 Governor's Green School; earned full accreditation from the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools in Fall of 2003; and a MCJROTC Naval Honors School in 2004, 2005, 2006, 2008 and 2009.
