I woke up Peeked out the window Watched the gray outside Clouds covering the sky Rain pouring down Houses around, empty Parents gone Working away Brown, dead grass Taunting me In my blank, white room From the dim, gray outside Dogs sleep Ferrets sleep How I wish it were me Yet through the gray day Dark hovers over Black envelops the world Eyelids grow heavy I go to my own dark Just to return My eyes open again Gold




Gage Joseph, senior (class of 2022), spends most time writing and gaming. He draws his ideas from his own thoughts, combined with multiple ideas from story-based video games. After graduation, he plans on taking his own time to work on pieces of fiction with mysterious plots.
